Camp & Coast was born by the sea
In a small coastal town where turquoise waters meet white sands, and the air always smells like salt and sunscreen.
It started with glamping tents and the desire to add more colour to our setups. Weekends are spent chasing sunsets, skating along beachside paths, and soaking up that easy, sun-drenched coastal lifestyle — sun-kissed skin, salty hair, bikinis and boardshorts, music playing from a speaker somewhere in the distance. That’s what summer is all about here.
That’s where the idea for Camp & Coast really took shape — born from the rhythm of coastal life and the people who live it.
But as our setups evolved, so did our vision. We wanted to bring more — more life, more vibrancy, more colour — into every space we created.
We’re surrounded by so much natural beauty — the deep blue of the sea, the whitest sand, the coral sunsets — and felt a deep calling to reflect that energy through design. While we’ve always loved the boho aesthetic that became so popular, we wanted to take a different path — one that felt more surfy, nostalgic, and distinctly ours.
That’s when Camp & Coast’s design style truly came to life.
Drawing inspiration from surf culture, retro motifs, and coastal symbols — think shells, sunbursts, surfboards, waves, hibiscus blooms, palm fronds, sea creatures, and the nostalgic checker patterns of vintage surfboards — our designs bring together that laid-back Aussie beach energy with bold, playful colour.
Think laid-back beach days, eskies full of chilled drinks, road trips in sand-dusted vans, and nights spent under starlit skies. Each piece tells a story of freedom, sunshine, and seaside living — a reminder of those endless summer days.

1. How do I wash and care for my rug?
We recommend spot cleaning for small marks or spills. For more heavily soiled areas, use a cold, gentle machine wash and hang to dry. Avoid bleach, tumble drying, or harsh chemicals to keep your rug looking its best. Being 100% cotton, they are soft, durable, and will wash beautifully with proper care.
2. Can I return an item if I don’t like it?
Yes! Full-price items can be returned if you’re not completely satisfied. Please note that sale items are final and cannot be returned.
3. Who designs the rugs?
We collaborate with talented artists, mostly from Australia, who bring unique creativity to each design. Occasionally, we also work with artists from around the world to create special pieces.
4. Are the rugs eco-friendly?
Yes! Our rugs are made from 100% cotton and woven with care, making them a natural, sustainable choice. They’re designed to be durable, long-lasting, and mindful of the environment.
5. Are they good for the outdoors?
Absolutely! Perfect for the beach, camping, picnics, or indoors - our rugs are designed for life on the move.
6. When will my rug arrive?
Our next batch of rugs is estimated to arrive in Australia on January 16th. As our pieces are created in small, carefully produced batches, timelines can occasionally shift. If anything changes, we’ll email you with an update right away.
